One of the most popular districts of the Antalya Province is Alanya. Located on the south-eastern part of the Turkish Riviera, its Mediterranean climate with warm and long summers and cultural heritage has made it a perfect place for many travellers. In comparison with other seaside resorts along the coast, Alanya distinguishes itself by the numerous foreign purchases of real estate, bought by especially Dutch, German, Danish and Russian tourists, in order to fully enjoy the mild and pleasant winter climate of Alanya.
On the west side of the city, the “Cleopatra Beach”, “Damlataş Beach” and the well-known “Damlataş Cave” can be found. The harbour and the Keykubat Beach - named after the Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Kayqubad I - are located on the east side of the city. Alanya’s city centre itself is particularly known for its cosy shopping streets, cafes, restaurants and bars. Other landmarks of the city are the “Alanya Castle” built in 1226 and “Kizil Kule" (Red Tower), also a Seljuk architecture dating from the same period.
